The Jr Pioneers have gotten off to a rocky start, their record is now 0-3. It looks like the Pioneers are doomed this season. The Pioneers are on pace to have a losing season. Are the Pioneers going to lose every game they play this year or do they just have a tough non-conference schedule? Some people think the Pioneers are just down this year and don't have any good players, but others believe the Pioneers have just had a tough non-conference schedule and the rest of the season is up hill. If something does not change soon I am afraid that the season will be too far gone. Next Thursday is their first conference game. I think if they lose game they will end up like last year's team who only won 5 games.
The Pioneers are having a bad season so far, "Thursday night proved to be a tough game for the Jr Pioneers, they now advance to 0-3." I understand how tfeels to start off like this. Last season we started off 1-2 but ended up winning the 5a east coonference. So just like Mr. Sonnier said just because they are 0-3 right now does not mean this season is over for the Jr high Pioneers. Even though the Pioneers did not get off to a great start they still have time to improve. They could potentailly still win the conference. Conference is much more important than their con conference schedule.
The Jr pioneers need to run the football more, "Are the Pioneers throwing too much? The last two games have both had an interception in the first half and we have nearly ran as many pass plays as run plays" The Pioneers do need to run the ball more all of these teams who have been good in the past decade have ran the ball much more than what the Jr Pioneers have their first three games and that most likely has a big impact on why they are steadily losing. In Jr. High kids have not had near as much practice as those in high school. Passing is a very skillful thing to do, obviously the Jr Pioneers don't have an abundant amount of skill so they should probably stick to the run
The Jr Pioneers don't need to get their heads down though they still have time to have a good season. "The Pioneers have historically always a tough non-conference schedule." With that being said the teams that they lost to may be better than every team they play the rest of the year. Thee Jr Pioneers need to keep their heads up because they are a 5A team and have played 3 6A teams in a row which is very difficult to do.
The Pioneers have had a tough start but they should be able to still have a succesful season knowing that the 3 teams the Pioneers have lost to are probably better teams than those who are in our conference. When I played Jr high football we lost two of our first three games but went on to win conference that year. That goes to show you the unimportance of nonconference play.
