The elevators are extra fast in the new world trade center.  There are 71 elevators in the building.  They are very fast, the travel up to 2000 feet per minute and almost 23 miles per hour.  These improved elevators will be very helpful in the case of an emergency.  People will be able to escape very fastly because the elevators can move so fast.
