If I were a passenger on the boat i don't think I would have the integrity to forgive the people in charge of taking thousands of lives although I know that according to the bible you are supposed forgive everyone. Forgiving them might be the right thing to do but I would be too angry with them right before I died to even consider forgiving them.  In truth they may not deserve forgiveness,  but I know all the murders were not done with a wicked soul.  Some were merely from ignorance.  So some people might think they deserve forgiveness, others may not but the fact of the matter is I would not have forgiven them so quickly after.
